How can I make my '01 I30 faster

I was thinking of putting a supercharger, rather than a turbo. Does anyone here know of a good supercharger that won't do any damage, or at least will run nice on the car?

What about changing just the headers, exhaust, etc. Does that make a big difference? If so, what kind of exhaust can I put that will still be silent but give me HP/?

Its a trade-off, you get some Hp for some noise.
