I was wondering if anyone esle with a 2000 I30t had a squeeking sound coming from their fan weather the A/C or Econ is on.

Seems like I had it for a while and now its getting worse where its finally starting to annoy me....sounds like I have a little mouse in a mouse wheel and all that is needed is some grease.

By chance is this something simple like pulling out the glove box to switch the cabin filter, its coming from the same general area.

Don't want to look stupid, but what the hell is Econ.

 

On my automatic tempture controls, I have an Auto Button, next to it, an Econ button. Difference is the Econ doesn't use the a/c I believe, just the fan.

Regardless, whenever my fan is on, I hear a little mouse wheel squeek.

 

Mine makes a very soft sound, which I guess could be described as a squeek.

Doesnt really bug me that much though. It's barely audible.

 

i have that problem, and it's fricking annoying me. mine is a 99 though, but i'm sure it's the same. it's in the right side of my car.

 

I got it too, so annoying...

 

anyone know how to get to the fan so I can spray a little wd40?
