Yes, like Mike said.. I got my car certified by Nissan and got an 100,000 bumper to bumper extended warranty. Its a Max, but my Mom got a 2003 infiniti with the same warranty and certification.

So your mom got the certification from the Nissan dealer? Is it bumper to bumper? Did it cost over $1,500?

Yes you can buy *A* extended warranty from a Nissan dealership. However, the warranty the Nissan dealership provides you would not be the exact warranty available for sale by an Infiniti dealership.

Let me explain...

A Nissan dealership sells two different warranty Products: Security Plus (Exclusively for Nissan Vehicles) or Quality Guard (All Non-Nissan Vehicles, including Infiniti).
Security Plus - A Nissan dealer can extend the same coverage you expect from your factory warranty to a Nissan vehicle with the Security Plus service plan. However an Infiniti is not eligible for this plan, therefore a Nissan dealer would have to sell their Quality Guard product to you.
Quality Guard- A Nissan dealers only choice for an Infiniti vehicle. If you are going to purchase an Infiniti that is under 12,000 miles I would suggest you contact your Infiniti dealer for their offered coverage. Otherwise feel free to explore the Quality Guard option.

An Infiniti dealership calls their extended warranties the "Infiniti Extended Protection Plan". A Nissan Dealerships can not sell this same coverage on a NEW Infiniti. However, can offer similiar coverage through the Quality Guard product.

KNOW YOUR INFINITI WARRANTY??

As part of The Total Ownership Experience®, the Infiniti® New Vehicle Limited Warranty is one of the most comprehensive in the industry. This generous package includes 24-Hour Roadside Assistance, Genuine Nissan Replacement Parts, and Unlimited Claims, as well as:

A 4-year/60,000-mile Basic New Vehicle Limited Warranty
A 5-year/50,000-mile Federal Emission Defect Warranty
A 6-year/70,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty
A lifetime seat belt warranty
And a 7-year/unlimited-mileage Limited Corrosion Warranty.
