one last Knock Sensor Question

My knock sensor came in today and im going to swap out the old one. I looked at the two sites in the 2 page bad mileage thread, and those are 95 maximas, i just want to double check to ensure that the models are mechnaically the same in the engine. I had some free time today at lunch, and i looked in my engine bay for the KS, i saw a nubby thing that looked like the KS under the cylinder heads. Is that it?, its pretty far in if it is. The pictures of the 95 maxima dont look the same, mabye i missed it when i looked today. But for me to get a rachet in there, theres alot of wires and stuff.

95 will be exactly the same. The KS is located under the lower portion of the intake manifold right in the middle of the 'V' valley on the motor. It is held in be 1 bolt.

just 1 bolt. 12mm I believe. Once you get the bolt out, pull the thing out of the valley and disconnect the connector. Use a flathead screw driver to help disconnect it if needed. Oh...BECAREFUL OF THE HEAD GASKET CORNERS!!! THAT **** IS FUCCING SHARP!!

The Head gasket corners are where the joke comes from about nissan mounting razor blades under the intake manifold, they are sharp as *expletive deleted* and most anyone that's replaced their KS has bloodied their hands, I know some nissan techs that despise the positioning of the KS because THEY regularly cut themselves on those head gaskets. Just be careful, I found that some nice cutproof gloves worked wonders.
