+1... The max/I30 is one of those cars that if left completely stock and dirty it is one ugly duckling. However, with a little mods here and there, and keeping it clean and waxed, it is one of the slickest rides around!

Hey, Devin. Let's do a swap. I'll send you the grill emblem I have and you send me a trunk emblem when you get one. The plastic cuts very easily. I figure you can use a coping saw to cut out spaces for the grill bars. The emblem already has two, but I do not know if they will match up.

The flat, trunk lid is what I need to put on mine:

^^ I like that. ^^ What emblem exactly is that one? From our Trunk lid or from the G35 Grill? I'm a lil confused but it's looks good.

It's the G35 grill emblem which looks like this from the side:

Obviously, it won't fit like this. I'd have to make a cut between the chrome base and the gold emblem.

Or...get a trunk emblem instead.

As part of the same package....

I got the gold grill emblem off of eBay along with gold, center wheel caps made to fit the G35. I fit them to my wheels with no problem; however, they do no exactly fill the hole.

Yet, I kinda like how they look:

i was considering putting a t from an i30t or q45t rear badge on my grill. i would prolly put it on the lower right or left corner most likely with super glue.... it think it would look good with a stock i30 grill with the vertical bars painted black to make the t stand out. what do you think?

I would, but I want to do this with a silver emblem instead of a gold one.

Thanks for the offer though...

Er...it's the emblem that gets cut. Your Cefiro bars would not even feel so much as a pinch.

I finally painted my grill....right in time to take it off and put the Cefiro grill on that I bought from Tynant. :-)

It does look good...and, actually, looks a lot like the simulated photo I created.

What do you think?

I was thinking getting and 96-99 infiniti symbol on the front of my hood or maybe from a newer infinity, like the lexus es300.

I think it will look good on my i30.
I'm finally getting rid of my wheel gap and the mesh on the front.

Speaking of Cefiro, just installed the grill I got from Tynant, and decided it does look better. I was going to attach my big Infiniti logo to it, but the girlfriend thinks it looks better without it.

The solution is to attach it on a temporary basis, and then decide.

That is the grille I actually got from a member who posted /\ above.(Syc) Although, I'm not a huge fan of chrome, so it's probably gonna be sanded, and painted the same colour of my car, except the infiniti symbol.

dr-rjp, can you tell me where you got your grille from and if it'll fit on the '01 I30? also, is it cheaper than the I35 grille?

I bought it from Tynant. Just PM him and ask him about the grill I received. The grill was a direct replacement for the existing 1998 grill, so if a stock grill fits a 2001 I30, this would also. I paid $65 (which includes the shipping/handling) for the grill -- a very, fair price since I've seen them for $90 and up.

I don't know how much the I35 grill costs, and I am not sure which models it might fit.

Why should the A32s have all the fun?

This was an idea that i had for my stock grill:

I'd like to cut out all the vertical slats, paint the grill frame body color, and put a nice stainless mesh behind it. I'm thinking a nice pearl white would look good for the emblem color. In the picture i also painted the headlight frames body colored (I plan to paint them black soon). I also added some little PIAA ricer lights (dont give me too much crap... I think they look kinda cool there).

I really would like to do this grill mod soon. My stocker is just sitting in a box in the garage, so i guess I dont have any excuses... So if anyone knows where I can source some NICE wire mesh I would love to know. I am looking for something just like the mesh found on the R-type Jag's, and if I could find that in a black pearl finish, I would consider donating my first born. lol.

BTW, I think this is the best looking grill I have seen on an A32... Someone should do this... NOW
