Thanks. I'll search the posts for info on the head unit. I pulled the service history on my I35 and it seems to still exhibit a problem that the original owner had it serviced for: cds skipping in the in-dash Bose. Also, there is a small cover on the rim of the spare but not a cover on the whole trunk floor underneath the mat that makes the floor level throuhgout. Is yours like that? The one thing that I wish it had was memory mirrors to go along with the memory seats. But overall you get a lot of features for the money.
I've had mine since new for almost 3 years now and couldn't be happier.
A lot of people with Maximas and lately I35s seem to have the problem with the CDs skipping in the Bose CD player. The only problems I ever had with skipping were on mornings where it was really cold (20 degrees and below) when I first turned on the car. After it warmed up it stopped completely.
Car pulling to the right could be lots of things. Mine doesn't do it, but I could speculate as to the cause:
-alignment being off
-simply the fact that you're accelerating hard and not used to a car with this amount of torque, and thus experiencing a bit of torque-steer.
The trunk cover like you described is normal. My trunk mat was pretty thick, that and I have a full size spare, so it never bothered me too much. I have a custom box back there now that really makes the difference negligible. If it bothers you enough though, some folks have gone so far as to make a template out of the trunk floor and cut a wood cover to fit and go under the mat to create a new floor for the trunk.

I took it to the dealer that other day and had an alignment and wheel balance done. But when I left it was still pulling to the right. To be honest I think I'll let it be. And since the trunk thing is normal I won't worry about it. I've got the full size spare too, so I guess that's what makes it more noticeable than usual.
