Would a Pioneer AVIC-D1 fit in an I35?

It's a double DIN unit like the I35's radio (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-2OHa9MQ...50&I=130AVICD1) but I noticed the I35 radio has angled sides so I'm concerned about the fit.

not direct fit.. hoever u can get an installation kit... that will give u a double din slot in teh center console... teh tiawanese dash for i30 might do.. but please let a i35 owner.. the one with teh black i35 with chrome stocks... tell u for shure..

use this URL and search for double din i30 dash kit...

Thanks, I'll look into that. I'm trying to decide between an 03 Maxima and an 03 or 04 I35 right now. They both have the same issue with the angled radio.

edit - In this thread (http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=33563&page=3) someone points out that "schocse makes a nice dash kit". I can't seem to find any reference to Schocse online though.

if ur gonna get the max try and find a manual.. 6 speed = ) otherwise ... get the i35t...

i think the max is lighter.. and they make more kits body wise for it.. the i35 .. ur gonna get screwed.. dont get hte i30.. cuase the body is big.. but the engine is still smaller.. and besides.. 3.5L who hoo... and also i liek the i35 interior.. very sexy wiht the light colored woor and stuff..... the max is a nice car.. but i think teh i35 is nicer but then im an infiniti guy... the max is def a bit quicker i believe... if u can pick up an aniversary edition max... LSD.. . other wise 6speed all the way

but if ur gonna get auto cause u want an auto. then i believe u should get hte i35 specially the if u cna get the 2004.. with all teh features.. very sexy...

manual.. then i guess a max with leather ie.. i cant have cloth anymore.. im too used to the preforated leather.. heheeh my baby spoils me...

I'll have to get an auto as I have a bad left knee. I'm leaning towards the Infiniti simply becuase they come with the extended warranty standard and you get a loaner everytime you take the car in for service.

oh sorry to hear that.. well then a i35... is what u need.. shell caress u with her nice softer leather.. and cushion ur derier with her softer yet responsive handeling.. still gonna need rear sway/front strut... and youll be good.. also the interior is jsut better.. i think...

There is no dash kit readily available for the I35s. I think some people imported one from overseas, but there wasn't a great amount of interest so you will probably have a tough time finding one. That is going to be the big problem with an aftermarket stereo.

As for the max vs. I35, the I35 is definately more luxurious and IMO better looking. You might pay more for the car and I'm sure you'll pay more for insurance though. If it were me I'd go I35 all the way but I have an I30 myself so I definately biased.
