Note to A32 I30's- You can't heat+open our fog lights...

Today I found out that no amount of heat will help pop our fog lights open. They were heated up REAL hot but were no where near loosening. The glue appears to be the same sort that glues the engine together. Part of one light got chipped, but it's not a big deal.
I was trying to open them to slip a cover over the bulb that makes it really yellow in case anyone cares....I'm disappointed that we can't do this mod, since it's real nice. Anyone got some spare, possibly damaged fog lights they can sell?
Unless someone has found otherwise, it might be wise to include this in the FAQ...

BTW...
FS:2 yellow 9004/H3 bulb sheaths/covers.....

take a look at this members page. he has the same problem, the lamps have to be cut open and then JB welded back together. just read on all the down and you'll see what i'm talking about.

well...why not just use a dremel??less time consuming but more chance for error...


what are u retrofitting?

Damn, that sux guys.

Ill be installing these capsules as soon as I receive them. As well as painting the fogs black to match the headlights.

Sorry to brag. Hope you can figure out yours soon.
