XM , Sirius,iPod DIY kits?
I am looking into getting one installed for my 02 I35 and was wondering if I can connect it directly to our stock radio. I guess I can use the FM transmitter hook up but some have said that the quality of the music depends on the station you set it on. I prefer having something hard wired and easy to connect and disconnect when I am not using it.
Suggestions?
Cheers.

Thanks HomerMac. Did not know that these existed. Do you have this yourself and if so, have you had any problems connecting to the stock headunit? I guess I could download the PDFs on the site but just want to make sure that I don't fubar anything up. Pics anyone?

Unless you have a 6CD changer in the trunk, I don't think you're going to be able to use an AUX input adapter. The in-dash 6 CD changers in the Maximas and I35s don't have another CD changer input on the back of them. The 03, 04 I35s *might*, as I think they had the option of Satellite ready OEM HUs.
Just do what I did...get a Kenwood DDX-7015 with a satellite tuner and PAC SWI-X steering wheel control adapter. Better than stock!

Thanks for the clarification Meta. I going to talk to my friend to see if I can get some custom work done on the dash where the NAVI was supposed to come out. I think it would look decent if I can integrate my iPod in that area and get a satellite receiver as well.
