OEM keys

Has anyone found a better price for these? The last time I looked, it was around $75. (Damn Titanium!)

I had it done a couple of weeks ago and the key works fine.

98's don't need transponder keys, so do they just have the OEM Titainum keys for my year?

Then I guess it depends on how you want to go about it. If you really need to have a true OEM key with Infiniti logo on it, Infiniti dealers seem to be your only choices. Since this is not a transponder key and can be easily cut by the local hardware store or locksmith, you might have some better luck pricewise with some online Infiniti dealer sites like everythingnissan.com. I'm not sure if I would want to go that far, because it seems too expensive to have a true OEM one when I can have a key at Walmart for 4 bucks.

I don't know, they just look so nice and they're TITANIUM! Seriously, I have no idea why I want to pay $70-something dollars for a key.

If you want Titanium. Get the NISMO Keys; they are anywhere from $45 shipped from Performance Nissan

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISMO...96824465QQrdZ1

They do work with A32 I30's (96-98), no chips in them. You can get it cut from HOMEDEPOT for FREE...........

Enjoy.

Anyone know how to contact this place in Brooklyn for the keys? I only have one key and it bugs me to know that I will eventually lock it in the car somehow....

sorry to kinda threadjack, but i just got a 97' I30 as a first car. The thing is that the previous owner doesnt have the key fobs (remotes). So where can I find one for cheap? I was hoping for either an aftermarket alternative if OEM is WAY expensive. (I saw it listed for $100 on infinitipartsusa.com and $165 from a local dealer w/ programming).

And you do know you can reprogram yourself right? No need to go to the dealer.

The remotes that is.

Yeah... I checked with everythinginfiniti.com (Infiniti of Scotsdale) and the cheapest they can get them for is 75 bucks... what a rip, just get the Nismo keys, they look just as nice... they're stainless steel instead of titanium, but they look just as good.

or you can buy these:

My local locksmith charged $2.50 to cut each key, should be pretty cheap

Heh, but I did $7.80 with shipping. Took the frigging fool 3 emails(2 of which were pretty threatening) 3 1/2 weeks to get him to reply and 4 weeks to send it. I just recieved it today May 15 when i paid for it on April 13! You can still buy the aftermarket ones, they're pretty cheap
