Door Chime

I had remote start installed on my car about a week ago and now my door won't chime when I put the key in the ignition and my headlight reminder doesn't work either. The installer said that they didn't do anything to the door chime module, yet it won't chime. What could be causing this problem?

do the door and dome lights still come on when the door is open? If not, check the door switch.

Where is it actually located? I looked for it but since the remote start was installed there are a TON of wires down there lol it's like a jungle of wires. Can you tell me a more precise location? Everything that is down there seems to be plugged in though.....

its on the plastic panel under the steering wheel.. not under the dash where all the wires are... remove panel below steering wheel.. there should be a connector attached

Did you fix it yet? If not, I'd be having a word with the manager of the place that installed your remote start. They obviously jacked something up.

I would just like to thank everyone for the help. The installer had unplugged it and thats why it wasn't working. I plugged it back in and everything is back to normal. I'm glad it wasn't a major problem because as forgetful as I am about turning my headlights off (during the daytime like if it's raining or something) I absolutely need it. I already had killed my battery once because of this and had to get a jump. Anyway, thanks everybody
