Exhaust on ur I30

What about these yes i know they arent tru dual Exhaust but i dont care i just want the look and the sound so tell me does anyone have these on there 5th gen and how does it sound? raspy droany ****ty or ok tollarable what?

just go to ur local shop...i bet they can fab one up for a whole lot less than 700

Its just a flowmaster 80 series muffler and some piping what inch piping should i do i wanna replace from cat back

2.5" would be a good choice. Most, if not all aftermarket exhaust components for our cars are 2.5, such as Y and B-pipes.

There is no point in going with anything bigger unless you are forced induction.

i heard recently that 3.5 maximas can use the 4th gen 3.0 exhaust...
is it the same with a i35?


just realize my profile says "eats out of a maxima"

I just dont want that drown on the highway or that crappy raspy sound like hondas i want a nice bass tone note and tuff sound on the highway nuttin ricy

Yes, the I35 can use the same exhaust as the 3.5 Maxes. You will need to lengthen the tips on any rear section, but all of us A33 I's have to do that.

Nocturnal, no exhaust on a VQ will ever sound like a honda. I've heard a clip of a max running open headers. Now that was loud, but it still sounded mean as hell. If you get an exhaust that you feel it is too loud you can always weld in a resonator in the b-pipe to quiet things down.

It all comes down to the muffler. Aftermarket y and b pipes mated to a stock muffler will produce mostly stock sound. Just like a stock y and b pipe mated to a straight through glass pack muffler fart can will sound like a honda.

If you want something aggressive and slightly louder than stock, get something with baffles in it. If you get a straight through glass pack it will sound like a fart can.
