Hey I just bought a 2000 I30 and I want to clear the side markers too. I couldn't help but notice that the clearance light bulb in the headlight housing is the same bulb as the side markers. Anyone use aftermarket LED's or something for the clearance bulb? If so, can you point me to some pics? (Sorry for the slight hijack. Gotta get my post count up before I can start my own thread.)

Ah, I guess I should've been more clear about what I wanted to know. Although yes, the bulb list is always convenient to have. But what I was asking is if someone replaced the stock clearance (city lamp) bulbs and put LED's or xenon bulbs in, and if so, could I see pics of what it looks like. Basically the reason I ask is cuz I like the extra bulb in there, but it bounces around the lens too evenly. I was thinking maybe like a LED or a bright xenon would accentuate the light source more so that a distinct point of light seperate from the radiating light bouncing around in the lens would be clearly discernable, kinda like the little points of light in mercedes s-class headlights or cadillac CTS headlights.

Or is that considered bad forum etiquette?

How did you not see my thread with the clear headlights??? This how they look with LEDs matching the city lights and bumper lenses. I do not have my headlamps turned on.

I have a black I30. Would it look nice if I get those lense paint and spray it over the side markers to make it look smoked?

How would it look if I did that both front and rear markers?

Anyone ever do it before?
