If it's not one thing it's another. According to my service receipts from the dealer, the last time the plugs were done was at 60K, So I went to do them the other night, and I was quite suprised and pissed off to see the white, I'm like, oh geez the thing overheated horribly or it's been combusting hot for awhile because of the blown upper intake gasket, WTF. So After the second plug comes out looking the same (The pics are of the whitest and darkest of the bunch) I realize I should check to see if there the right plugs, and sure enough, There 4's!! One heat range hotter! Oh well, crap happens, thank god the vq is so bulletproof, I'm not sweating it at all, I put 1 step colder ngk coppers in since I'll be running juice.



So after I did the plugs, it was still breaking up a little between 1-2k, So I suspected the KS. I checked the codes and sure enough, 0304, or whatever it is came up. I cleaned the two grounds for the ks circuit, and then decided to shine a flashlight under the intake, I could see the crack right away. In the pouring rain I pulled it out, went over to my buddies and pulled the ks from the parts car, I went back home and threw it on and the car was great! Also, I used two wrenches, a 12mm gear wrench and then another one for leverage, it took me two seconds after I did it once, I had zero problems and I would never remove that ks with a swivel socket, it would be so easy to strip. I think in the next day or two I'll take pictures of my method. But anyways, like I said if it's not one thing it's another, car was running great and then next day, CEL comes on, so I stop at autozone, sure enough it's bank 1 sensor 1, more money gone from the clutch/tranny fund!
