And what was the single best upgrade ?

Haven't done anything yet, have a FSTB sitting in my basement from my 2002 SE That I'm planning to put on. probably will go with H&R/Illuminas as the first mod I think

Probably $3400-$3500 after all has been said and done. Best upgrade...close call between my Kenwood DDX7015, Front/Rear skirts, and Tein H-Tech/Illuminas.

thats a pretty nice 3-way tie, I'd probably say your skirts are your best mod, there is something pretty sweet about being the first to have em.

approxiamately $4010.00 so far. planning the H&R/Illumina's in about a year, along with switching the tires to 225/40/18/zr. of course my most expensive mod that i have planned is a wife and some kids to fill up the empty space in the car.

I've spent a bit over $3000 so far, but I've got things on hold for a bit. I hate being a poor college student.

The best mod would have to be my suspension... Eibach's and illuminas.

Haha, well thank you.

I also got to thinking, I forgot about my recent 6th gen front brake upgrade, so that'll have to figure in the costs as well. I think I also appreciate that upgrade almost equally along with the aforementioned 3.

Jeez, the brakes just reminded me of more little things that I forgot about as well. Kinda makes me sick when I add up how much I've spent, LOL.

LOL, that last mod will be by far your most expensive ever. I hear it from my parents all the time...

Oh, and as for the tires, you have the 8" wide OEM G35 wheels, right? Should probably go with a 245/40/18 if that's the case. More tire, better contact patch, closer to OEM diameter.

Between experiments, actual parts I'm using, and dumb stuff... I'd have to guess I'm about $4-5k in. I don't regret much of any of it because every thing I have done I have learned from. I'd say my best spent money was TS ECU, JIC's, and (hopefully) 00VI.

I know exactly what you mean... I keep thinking of little things I didnt add in. I even forgot about my tint and that was $300 its self (removal and install).

I almost dont think I want to know how much I've spent as of yet. Especially when I think of all the things I have planned for the near future.

Total? On everything?

Not deductiong what I have sold things for, I have spent $10K easily over the years. But taking into account what I have sold when I changed directions with the car, I probably have $6-$7K in the car presently.

LOL.... The price I quoted was just performance mods + exterior + installs + wheels + tires. My stereo stuff throws me about $xx, xxxx more.

Hi Wave 24v Farad
JL Sub 10w7v2 (downgraded from a 12w7v2)
JL 500/1
JL Bass **** and JL Wiring
JL 300/4 (not installed)
JL Clean Sweep (not installed)
Focal Components (not installed)
Rockford Fosgate Equalizer
Pyle TV/Navi Conversion + Pyle FM Modulater (not installed)
=============================================
My stereo equipment will add my above price of $7500+ total to $1x,xxx+

You can ask my friend Maximus in the DC forums because I am trying to get him to install the stuff LOL. (he's been dodging me.)
The stereo equipment and the installs are not included in the above price...

$40 for some silverstar's, $40 for a fleabay intake, plus the K&N cone I had sitting around from a supercharged mustang, $200 for the stickiest 15's I could get my hands on, traded $225 worth of 'goods' for a nx wet kit, $350 for a purge kit, brackets, digital window switch, tps switch, lines & fittings.

WOW! I'm into it $800 on mods alone and I haven't even had it for a month!! And yes, I'm also a broke college student!!

Probably $8000 including the $4000 for the 5spd swap which was almost all new parts and contained many goodies (fidanza flywheel, STS, 5th gen clutch, new vlsd tranny, raxles axles)... My sig speaks for itself.

Somewhere around $8000...waaaayy too much money, but once you start, you can't stop. Especially when you put so much money into basic repairs, there is no point in ever selling the car.

Agreed... it is a dangerous addiction, and I need help. Maybe my friends and family will hold and intervention.

And I am NEVER going to sell this car. I will drive it into the ground before that.

Over $4500 so far.

Agree that it is a slow addiction that you won't realize until you add everything up and it's too late to go back. Luckily, I've stopped the habit on the I30 since I've passed it on to the gf but the bug is itching me on my newly possed STOCK Miata! Talk about breaking the bank...

All in Canadian Dollars:

$300 Cefiro Lights
$40 Bulbs
$200 Deep Cycle Battery
$140 Sub & Amp
$45 Chrome Gauge Rings
$600 Budget Y & B Pipe
Plus all the money spent on regular repairs
Plus $1500 on 18" mags this week (buy during witer and save $$$)
Plus $1000 on coilover at the same time (Probaly Tein Basic's, hopefullly D-2`s)

So that`s about $1000 USD up to now, soon to be $3500.... its depressing... plus a tint, a repainted from bumper, brakes that are just waiting to be installed.. etc....its worthless i`ll never have a penny to my name.....

After two months of posting this, I haven't spent a single Dime on the I yet.

I've been in Asia the past month and the I's over here (known as Cefiro's ) are as common as Maxima GXE's. Its funny to see them with Hubcaps and leather interior. Makes me feel like my car ain't all that...lol.....

Counting only whats on the car now, about $4000. I'm pretty much done after having the car for 5 years though. My fav mod is definately the 19" MM Evos and the 12" Resonant Engineering HC sub and 3 cu ft box. The Y-Pipe is definately up there too.
