Keyless Remote Question

Keyless Remote Question
Anyone know if the code on the remote is supposed to reset after switching out the battery?
My remote signal was becoming weak, so I replaced the battery. Imediately after, the remote would no longer work at all. I've been using the other set of keys eversince, but this remote is getting pretty weak as well now.
I'm just going to replace the other battery and do the reprogram procedure so that I have new batteries in both. I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this.

Well guess who feels like an a$$??? It's me!
Went to get another battery and when I opened the remote to double check the battery type I found something that may have had something to do with its lack of function... Yeah, the battery was in upside down
So in short, The remote DOES keep the code without the battery, and I now have well functioning remotes again. No reprogram needed
