Is the 96 I30 exhaust different from 97,98,99

Does the 96 I30 exhaust match the 95-96 maxima exhaust or 97-99 maxima?
I was wondering if all I30's 96-99 had the same exhaust? Any info or pics would be great. Going to be getting another exhaust it would be nice if I didn't have to cut it up to fit.

OEM 96 Infiniti I30 Exhaust = 95-96 Nissan Maxima Exhaust

OEM 98-99 Infiniti I30 Exhaust = 97-99 Nissan Maxima Exhaust

But they are NOT the same
I think there is O2 sensor on 98-99 I30 Rear Muffler section (or on the B-pipe).

Just the 96 I30 exhaust is different, no 02 bung in front. What are the other differences between the two. It looks as the rear sections are identical in all I30's, 96-99. Is the 97-99 b-pipe longer....shorter, or is the only difference the 02 bung. Any info would help. Pics side by side would be the best, if anyone can find that. thanks everyone any help is appreciated

the 97/98 max has a separate o2 sensor housing behind tha cat, known as the s pipe. when bolted to the 97/98 b pipe the whole thing is the same legth as the 95/96 and 99 b pipe. its really a bad design, so stick with the 95/96 and 99 pipe.

Correca mundo. But once you go after market it is all universal... thats why the cattman b pipe comes with a bung hole on it for the 97-98 and a bung hole plug if you have a 95-96,99. I discovered this when I did cattman exhaust on my 97 and my friends 96. Another example is the CE cat. All come with a bung hole for the 95-96,99, and a bung hole plug if you are 97-98. It all works out in the end.
