Tranny rebuild...

Anyone have an idea how much it would cost to rebuild a 2004 auto tranny?

I take it it's not under warranty? I'd say anywhere between 1,200-2,000, it's gonna be pricy since everything will need to come from the dealer

An alternative would be to look for a low mileage used tranny out of an I35 or 02-03 Maxima.

yeah definitly, you can search local junk yards on car-part.com and find some really good deals, what I'd do though is get a carfax on any tranny that your interested in, and if the junk yard says they don't have the vin number anymore there bs, tell them that its on the tranny.
