Whenever there's another I on the road...
I look over to see who's driving it. Usually men and women in their 40's and even 50's. As much as I love my car, I think it sort of lacks a "pimp" factor, and really needs mods to make it stand out. With the right rims, tint, and a drop my ride's slogan will be ' "I" get you laid' hahaha.
When you see other I30/35's on the road, who's driving them?

I have an I35 now, but when I had my I30, I mostly saw the older crowd. One exception was a guy a met, now a friend, that had a lowered, tinted, shaved dark green 97 I30. I see Maximas pimped out every now and then, but rarely I30.
Now, with my I35... I've only seen maybe 5 - 10 other I35s and they have all been the older crowd. Mine has been the only one with tinted windows.

I bought my car because it was the nicest, most reliable car I could afford. I think the I is a great place to begin modding. With a few simple modifications you can get the car to look how it should, and totally stand apart form the crowd. Our cars are really marketed towards older people, but to tell the truth, I really dont see very many out on the streets. I've never seen another modded I30/35. In fact most people dont even know what kind of car I have. I get "thats a really nice car... What is it?" a lot. De-badging a car like this really seems to Fukc with people.
As far as the "pimp factor", I think that is up to you. And your Infiniti will always be there to back you up. I especially like how if you move the seats forward and down, you pretty much have a soft leather bed across the entire vehicle... It's great for the drive-in
Tint the windows and your set

You know what, I always like the 2000-2001 I30t and the I35 but, I never used to see them alot. I guess now that the car is discontinued and you can get an I30 cheaper than a maxima (in some places) I see ALOT of I30 and I35s. There are two guys in my neighborhood with an I30 both have tint and wheels, and a another I35 driven by an older lady. There are also 3 pre 2000 I30s in my neighborhood. I am glad I modded my I35 to look like no other in the mid east coast. I always get compliments on my car and it's a TOTAL sleeper. I love out running sub six second cars and they have this look on their face like WTF??? ....
I can't wait to put my wheels back on my car and give her a good 5 -10 coats of zaino or blackfire polish. Nothing is better than pulling up at a maxima meet and be the only person there with an I35.

1st gen I30s are getting cheaper and cheaper every day. I see all kinds of owners.....from young girls to old ladies. These cars are getting rare to see on the road, there are far more maxima owners out there. It's funny too the I30 has VLSD and a far better interior, especially on the 98,99 I30s with preforation and logos.
Haha yeah, Whenever I do see an I30 it is someone in the 40's crowd, On ocassion when I go to school I see the one cute girl in the I30, but I still haven't encountered a 99 limited I-30 with someone my age... Id like to get the G35, but to tell you the truth, this has been the most reliable car Ive ever had. I just change the oil and the brakes and a tune up every once in awhile, not a single breakdown... going on 175,000...

Tint the windows and your setAnyway, I think Infiniti in general has an older appeal. When I was getting an oil change every person who walked in was between 50 and 80 (no joke).

I live in town of 66,000 people, and im pretty sure that i am the only modded I30 around. SUre theres some "twin" i30's rollin around. But everyone one has there own little thing that sets them apart from the rest of the crowd. and the town i live in its all ricer, a few good cars but rarley a lux. car modded. Mostly escalades with just rims, and with all the other Infiniti's in town i swear im the only one with tint. But i've got to say that the Infiniti's do look good with no tint sometimes.
Yeah, I know it sucks. Gunn Infiniti is the worst dealership I have ever been to--they treat customers like **** and don't give free carwashes like the ones in Dallas do. They wanted $51 for a damn oil change! No wonder no one's ever in there.
Long time no see Attomica... I see nothing has changed.
Modding has to do with changing/improving upon the design/engineering of the original car to suit ones personal preference. While I do think that some take it way overboard with under-glows, decals, and giant aluminum wings, I think it is ignorant make a blanket statement about "modding".
I am sure that there are some aspects of your car which you think could be improved. power, gas mileage, maybe the appearance of a certain aspect of your car. Modding should not be looked down upon, the individuality should be embraced... If not, at least there is comic value associated with a 22" wheel equipped Civic with a fart-can and 3' wing bolted to the trunk.
Most of the outrageous crap is just for attention, which I'm sure most of your posts are... So I guess I should apologize for perpetuating this situation, but I thought I'd try once again to shed some light on the different classes of modification.
Not to flame you, but it just eats at me when someone comes to an enthusiasts board (seemingly) just to disagree with 99% of the community. If you want to start fights, go to a bad part of town and show them what you’ve got.

Even if I were to buy a BMW or MB I would start modding right away, maybe not to the extreme that I am doing now but, of course you have do the basic Wheels/tint/system (sub) combo.

Even when I hate my exhaust noise, I get so many compliments about the sound, that it makes me want to keep it on. I think that's why honda owners mod their cars. There are just so many of them that you have no other choice but to mod your car to stick out.

On a daily basis, I see 3 identical (re:STOCK) I30t's within 5 miles of my house. Up the block from my friend is the only modded I30t I see on the island regularly. It's silver with chrome rims, Ceifro's and tint. Otherwise if I see any I30, it's usually a older person putt-putting at 20 MPH in front of me.

I see I30's and I35's all the time. Ages of the ppl ranges. Most of the time they are bone stock appearnace wise.
On the modding subject, I personally don't forsee any situation where I'd get a car and not want to change ('mod') at least one thing. I.E. tint, system, perfomance, wheels, something.
