intro thread

new i30 owner on the block, just saying hello and glad to be here.

just picked the car up friday, 96 I30 AT, plum/purple exterior, black cloth interior, no sunroof- i think thats pretty rare for this platform. 72K miles, paid $4600. a little rough around the edges, both bumpers are scratched to **** and the rear passenger door has some minor dings. only needs tires and an oil change- hows that for a steal?

got some plans in the works. first, in comes a 97+ console, steering wheel, bose deck, and 20% tint. some new badges then its cefiro smoke headlights, HID, grill, tail lights with license plate recess. ill throw the 19s i had on my 02 6spd on this piece- that should do it for this year.

97 SE -> 02 SE - > 96 I30, hows that for a bell curve?

buying a house. without the $300 loan payment and $220 for insurance each month, that adds alot to the mortgage i get approved for.

needed to buy something in cash, and picked up the i30 on the spot. i actually went out to look at a 97 GLE, but it was at least the fifth test drive that day with 95K-130K that i had looked at. i30 was sitting in the back of the lot, just begging to get driven home.
