i got a quick ques about the 130 tranny. My Tranny jus finished walking out the door on me thurs. I got a 5th gen and i heard from one of my friends that the 130 auto has VLSD i searched and only found threads about the 5spd Vlsd i wanna know if the auto has vlsd and if it would be a direct fit into my 2000 Max? Help is greatly appreciated

 

Select I30 autos and manuals come with the lsd. As far as a 4th gen auto fitting on a 00-01 5th gen goes... my GUESS is that it would fit, but the electrical connectors might not. Best bet is to go with the 01 AE maxima or 00-01 I30t auto tranny with the limited slip.

 

thanks for the response, my dad just found out about the blown tranny and amazingly he took it pretty well, No *** that he took it amazingly well im now in the process of my 5spd swap thanks to him LOL

yeah just make sure to grab the tranny from an I30 because all stick I30's are touring models which means vlsd, why go through all that work to have one wheel peel right?

 

I30 could come in stick and not be touring. In which case lsd was optional so it could have the non lsd maxima tranny.
