just go and have a alternator/starter shop add some spools of wire to it, this will increase the output

what kind of reasons would you need a higher output alternator for? Just unsure, i know if you have a system or lots of electrical connections across your 12v system, the higher output alternator could improve the performance of your stuff, but other than the system and various 12v connections what are the benefits if any.

the problem is not actually on my car. its on my friends. however he is complaining that the alternator keeps craping out. he changed it and it did the same thing
i advised him to check the dist. so he said he would let me know how that goes. thanks for your help guys.

apparently it stops working. im really not sure in terms of detail being that shes not very smart when it comes to cars. she was told by a mechanic that thats the problem he changed the alt. out and it happen again and she went to him and he said that the distributor might be the prob. so i told her to get a second opinion. he guy said that he might need to keep the car overnight. so i was just trying to see if you guys might have had the same prob. where the alternator stops working and then is changed and dies again due to some other reason other than it being old. (i.e. dist.)

The Dist. Has Nothing To Do With The Charging System. I Don't Know What That Mech. Is Taking About He Prob. Knows As Much About Cars As She Does. Check To Make Sure To The Power From The Alt. Is Not Touching Metal Or Grounding On Something. We Had This Prob. At The Shop I Work At And The Power Wire From The Alt. Was Bolt To The Block And Gronding It Out I.e. Damaging The New Alt.
