shift indicator bezel I35?
Anybody know the name or even better the part number for the silver part that goes around the shifter in the I35? My wife drove the car for the last month or so, and she spilled coffee on her "little tree" freshner, and it was resting on the silver plate. The silver plate is now redish from the dye in the freshner and I can't get it cleaned.
I am pretty sure I need to replace it if possible. It definately soaked into the silver finish and discolored it. I guess worse case I figure out how to remove it and try re-painting the unit. I can't imagine how to remove it though--looks much tougher than the I30 unit.
Thanks for any hints or tips

1. go to pepboys or auto parts store and get the Chrome/Aluminum Polisher
2. use a small amount of tooth paste to polish it.. to see if you can get it cleaned.
Good luck!
