Well worth it to me. I love the way they look. I hardly use the folding function, but I think the LED indicators on the sides (especially at night) are an invaluable safety feature and the blind spot areas built into the mirrors make my life a lot easier.

nice, i got the ones from sy a long time ago, but haven't installed them yet. i don't see these on ebay anymore these days.
*edit* here they are. might have to sell mine...

LOL, I never got around to it. I think there's a pinout location at the BCM that could be tapped, but that made me nervous.
I tried tapping at the door-pin switch, but that didn't work either.
When I actually get time to mess around with the car again I plan to try tapping the power that lights up the "ring of light" around the ignition key. That lights up with the dome light as well, and might be easier to get to.

And there's really no need for a relay. Those LEDs use such little power you can just tap straight from the stock wiring.

No no, I have other uses for that signal wire
Not only the LEDs on the mirrors, but also LED puddle lights in the side skirts, and maybe even CCFLs for the footwells. It'd be nice to have all come on with the dome light when I hit unlock.

you should be able to tap the dome light somewhere near the kick panel. its been so long since i've done any wiring on my max the details are fuzzy. best bet would be to ask in the i.c.e. section. i'm sure one of the installers there knows where to tap.

Well I figured I buy a fuse tap and put it where the dome light fuse is, that should work theoretically.

And IIRC, the dome light is negative triggered. In that there's constant power running to it but the ground is switched to turn it on and off. It's been a long time since I was looking at the FSM though.
As for the diagram above, I think it's a pinout from the SECU that you need to tap (not the BCM like I said before). I have a printout with the right thing highlighted somewhere. I'll have to see if I can find it.

never heard of those but it looks like it should work. only problem will be the wire all visible in the fuse box. if you can live with it, looks like a great option.

But again, I'm fuzzy on all this stuff; it's been a while since I looked at any of it.
The last thing I did to my car was to put the stock HU back in

I never had the need to do this because my alarm was installed in such a way that it keeps the dome and L/R step lamps ON for 30 seconds when locking and unlocking. So, I just wired the puddle lights to the step lamps. Metaorbit is right though, the dome light is negative triggered through pin 31 on the SECU. Another source could be pin 30 (ignition keyhole illumination) but I am not sure how long that remains ON after lock/unlock.
So, if I were to do this I would get 12V from the step lamp connector in the door (pin 2 Red-Green color) which is always "hot" (12v) to the positive wire on the puddle light and run a ground from pin 31 or 30 on the SECU to the negative wire of the puddle light.
You should be able to get 12v triggers for the left and right turn signals from pin 5 (green-black) and pin 6 (green-yellow) respectively from the hazard switch. Ground can be done at any bolt within the door.
Of course, test the wires out with a multimeter first just to make sure.

just go to www.thespeedline.com and it will link you to the eBay store that sells them...just go through the nissan tab on the left and browse through the items that come up

folding is just for show, i just do it in car washes. Since mine are TDM, they have convex mirrors, puddle lights, heated, signals, and of course folding. I'll post up a diagram when i get a chance.

this may sound like a dik statement, but have you looked in the FSM? EVERYTHING you need to know to wire these up is in there.
Here's a hint, see what has common ground or a switched ground. Also, since i'm a nice guy, EVERYTHING except the folding function can be tapped in the SECU. That's all the help i'm going to give. I have the exact pins that you need to tap but since this thread has lasted ~2 years, you guys need to figure out how to read a wiring diagram.

im not sure of the difference , but i ordered the cheaper ones
you can do many options
i didnt want the turn signals or puddle lights, so i just ordered power folding and heated, and the blind spot 2 pane lens
came with switch and all FTW
