Seat Controls not working on my 2000 I30

I remember reading up somewhere about repair for the controls for Driver and Passenger adjustment.

Is this something that can be done easily? I'd rather not have the dealer do it for me, since they would probably charge a lot.

I can adjust the angle of the seat, but cant move it back and forward, are there seperate motors for each function? It's been like this for a few months now....starting to get to me.

Thanks for your help.

This is a known problem for the I30/I35/Maximas. I have the same problem but I haven't gotten around to fixing yet. Below is a link to the TSB that shows you how to repair the problem. You basically have to take the seat out and replace the motor. Good luck!

I had the same problem with my driver's seat ('02 I35). I took the car to the dealer for that and a high idle. When they reset the software on the car for the idle the seat started working again and hasn't messed up since.
