It was so loud to me that, I went back to stock muffler for a while but, all of my friends said they like the sound of the full cattman H/E/M. Don't get me wrong, I like the sound but it can be loud when going into garages, tunnels, in between buildings etc... I am used to it now and I would not change anything ... POWER > Noise.
Coming from the Subaru world I am very familiar with a loud exhaust. My last set up was a 4" down pipe to a full 3" exhaust, no resinator (no cat for a while-took it off when I went to the track and got lazy). (turbo XS btw). But this car needs to be quieter for me. I love the way yours sounds but it will be too much. I want something that will sound no louder than a stock G35 or 350z. Sounds pretty mean though.

So it sounds to me like no one really makes an exhaust that is a straight bolt on for the I35. Am I correct? Do all have to be exteded and the hangers relocated? I went through this crap with my 04 Forester and hated it. I simply want the car to sound like the G35/350Z. I am not too stressed about making big HP. If that was the case then I would have just hung on to my 06 WRX that was already sitting at 300 awhp.

Finally, my 15th post! I can finally PM some of you guys and use the search function. Well, in a couple of hours anyway!

The cattman exhaust IS straight bolt-on. It just doesn't show well like the A33 maximas because our rear bumper sticks out two inches more. The exhuast will be a little covered up but it works. I know some people who have the catman exhaust bolted on and are fine with the way the exhuast sits behind the bumper.

I don't like it. You can either extend the muffler tips on the cattman section, or get some hangers and have the muffler pushed down some more, OR extend the section that goes over the axle about three inches and problem solved.
