After looking through MANY Yahoo Taiwan acutions, I've found more beam pattern for the eBay projectors.

cutoff doesn't look bad, but coverage looks like it could use some work.

Ok, I'm not sure about all the technical stuff, but i do have the chrome halo ebay projectors and the led tails. They were very easy to install. like an idiot i bought the black background ones, then decided i wanted chrome, so i have the black ones on ebay right now. One thing: SEAL the lights before you install. They dont seem to be sealed very well, and i had moisture the first car wash. Sorry bout the photos, at work on my camera phone! Whoops! I can't add photos. Email me if you want to see em. mboy2abq@yahoo.com

A33 Projector w/ Angel Eye Headlights...

To all the interested A33 owners out there:

If you are to purchase these off Ebay.. make sure you ask your seller which company makes them.

There are currently few aftermarket companies making this product (just as with A32 headlights):

EZ DEPO
EAGLE EYE
maybe one more company named (H.S.????)

Anyhow... the one I had tested are by EZ DEPO.. they are better than those 5 lense A33 Headlights. I had not tested the EAGLE EYEs.... From what I know that Eagle Eyes are cheaper than EZ DEPO one's... and I suspect that quality of the Eagle Eyes Projector headlight is NOT the same (nor as good) as the EZ DEPO one's.

If anyone have any more questions, feel free to email me or post here.

Just to make sure I am clear:

You can get the a33 projectors off ebay - and retrofit them with different projectors (I like the TSX/TL projectors). Since the headlight assembly already has projectors, you don't need the shroud, or the ballast, right?

What about the fact mentioned earlier that us i35 folks have hid. Would I need to get anything extra other than the headlight assembly and my tsx/tl projectors to keep my hid look?

For I35 purposes, buy the headlights, swap out the projectors with something good (TSX/TL like you mentioned, though TL might be too large). The only other thing you might need would be a pair of D2S bulbs. However, you can modify the D2R bulbs you have to where they will fit in the projector. The only downsides would be a little less light (unless you scraped the paint off the bulb) and the inability to re-use them in your OEM headlights again (they would fit, but could cause more glare in the OEM reflectors).

Additionally, if you're using the OEM ballasts from the I35, you'll have to get a little creative with how you mount the ballasts and igniters.

pull out the projectors in the light, then size up the tax projectors. More than likely you will need to find a way to mount the sx's but u may get lucky. I would expect some dremmel'ing and drilling new screw holes atleast....

That's basically it. Remove the lenses from the headlights, unscrew the brackets containing the projectors (remove using aiming screws), then remove the projectors. Line up and mark the TSX mounting holes on the brackets, drill new mounting holes, and then you will need to cut/grind away some of the internal brackets to get the projectors to fit. Attach the projectors to the brackets and reassemble.

N3985 has a really good thread where he posted a LOT of pictures of the headlight internals and how he mounted the projectors and all. I basically did exactly what he did, except I used standard length plastic spacers to space the projector away from the bracket rather than springs.
