I30 (2000+) and I35 available Cold Air Intakes

Anyone nows what kind of cold air intake I could install on this car?
I've been searching the big companies websites (Apexi, Fujita, etc) and none of them make intakes for my car

You may already know this, but keep in mind that any 4th gen. Maxima intakes "should" fit. I am curious though about all the available intakes (cold & warm).

one of the most popular is the berk technologies intake with the K&N or APexI filter. (127 or 187 bucks respectively) another is the Frankencar intake.

My franken car with apexi. Its a tight fit because it comes with the maf adapter and apexi filter adapter both cnc. Love the way it sounds, plus it whistles so people ask me if im turbo or super and im like none...

the guys who's selling the intake on ebay wrote me back stating THIS INTAKE WON'T WORK ON THE I35?
Isn't the maxima and i35 engine the same?

Any chance you could still post those pics? I know you're probably busy with the whole body kit right now, but I'd still love to see what this looks like installed. I've never heard of Cosmoracing intakes until you mentioned it.

Does anyone else have experience with these? They're surprisingly cheap...thats why I'm a little hesitant. Thanks!

my friend just installed the cosmo racing cold air intake on his 2001 infiniti i30 and he says its works great. All he noticed was a deeper sound when he accelerated and the responce was slightly faster. I think i am goin to get this for my i30t also, it seems to be one of the few out there that are made to specifically fit

I am digging it. I figured that if it fit the Max that it would fit the I35 but I stand corrected after purchasing a KN intake set up. The tube is too long, the maf size is different, there is no where to mount their little support bar! Oh well, looks like I will be looking into one of these now. Go figure.

I looked this stuff up some time ago but must have missed something. Either that or they actually sent me the wrong part. Hopefully I will not run into as many problems with my catback when it shows up other than the tips potentially being a little too short to clear the muffler.

I just want to be clear about my last post. I meant that I assumed that if it fit the same year Max that it would then fit my I35.

Any problems with the CAI sucking in water at that location? Going to order one regarless but just curious.

Unless you submerge the car, no. Heres a nice little product to prevent it though http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=20

I want to buy a Injien CAI for my 2k3 I30.
Is there any hp gain? Or only better sound from the engine?

Thanks, Robert

I wouldn't hold your breath for any noticeable horsepower gains. You may notice improved throttle response. The sound will definitely be a louder, more aggressive sound when going over 3K RPM's.

Are you sure you selected the right year? I didn't know K&N made an entire CAI (WAI whatev) for the 5th gen. I have a 01 I30 and the Injen i bought (for the 01 max) fit perfect. I'm thinking about replacing the Injen filter with a K&N one or AEM. That is after I do the Injen TRUE CAI conversion...

Your replying to a post that is from 2006...

Aside from cosmetic parts, 99.9% of mods made for the maxima will fit an i30 of the same chassis. This includes intakes.
