Finally found the best city light bulb!

After testing various forms of LED bulbs for the city light, which ranged from 4-LED, 6-LED, 9-LED, and even 12-LED, inverted, focused, I finally found the best one. It is the new "hi power" LEDs available on ebay and autolumination.com. The color is pure white, no hint of blue or purple at all, and completely fills the headlight with light. So instead of a dot of light before, you see the entire headlight lit up when the parking lights are on.

OK Lee, here are some quick pics just for you :P

All taken without flash and it actually represents the light output pretty well.

Yeah, those are pretty nice. The output is awesome. I put two of those in my license plate lights.

But watch them...I've been running mine for about a few months now and one is doing the flicker of death. Either too much heat or lack of voltage regulation is killing these suckers off.

Kinda funny right now though...looks like I have a strobe light illuminating my plate

above is the picture of the one I have, I guess autolumination.com has a couple other choices, given their price I would think they are even brighter?

Awesome!

I remember something about these floating around in the 5th gen froum not too long ago. I wanted to try some of them behind my guages. See if I can get an even brighter, cleaner white.

Looks like I will have to get a set for my city and sidemarker lights too.

Save your money and get cheap inverted ones for side markers, they are just bright enough, but not too bright. And due to design, the light already fills up the housing pretty well.

Problem is that I need a whiter light in there. I got nailed for police impersonation last year because of my red rear and apparently "blue" front markers.

I really want to replace the damn amber bulbs I have in there now. Just dont look the way I want.

Well they only need to last one month, since the new headlights won't have a city light.

Oh and nice find n3985. I will be ordering some as soon as i am able to replace my clear bumper lenses. I had to revert back to the stock amber lenses because I got a pair of CHEAP DEFECTIVE lenses that have been on my car and I guess the CHEAP SILICONE SEAL OR GLUE has finally wore off. Water leak in my lenses look like my leds are in a fish tank. lol

I would just bake the lens, pry the two pieces apart, and reseal with new sealant. And what Meta and I have planned is to upgrade the lousy factory HIDs

Let know how much did ya'll bought these LED lights for. I'll bring back some LED lights sample from Taiwan and make it available for all I30/I35/Maxima owners. These includes the interior dome lights, the door lights, and all these other lights that may take the one's I am going to bring back.

Thanks

But for people to buy them they'll have to get in touch with you. How's that going to happen?

Lenses will not bake apart like our headlights. I've removed the lenses before and had to use a dremel to cut them apart. I would just suggest purchasing a new set.

I learned that the hard way. I forgot i had never used the rear bumper lenses. THAT BEING SAID, i decided to try and bake the rear lenses and take them apart, and glue/seal them on the messed up front lenses. All that to find that it's a lot more troublesome than i thought. I haven't ordered a new set yet and I am still driving with the amber lenses. They don't look that bad actually. The only thing is that it looks a little odd with clear headlights.
