Is this the correct fog bulb?

Hey guys,
I read in one of the stickies somewhere on here that the 03 I35's take an H3 bulb. Please correct me if I am wrong here as I am looking to order a set of yellow Hella bulbs in an effort to create a true fog light if you will. I will also be ordering some rockblocker film in yellow as well to aid in the effect. Over all the little project should only cost me about $40 when all is said and done.

Right bulb type, but the square notch in the base needs to be widened for correct fitment. This is because the stock bulb is 35W, but I have never seen a 35W H3 so I use the 55W. You'll see what I mean when you try to install the bulb.

One suggestion though... If you want a really nice, bright yellow, the yellow fog capsules are the only way to go. I had some PIAA yellows that I was very dissapointed in. Not that yellow and kinda pricey. The combination of yellow bulbs and the film will probably produce a nice yellow though. I'm just not into the colored films.

Also aim the light up more, it is really low in stock position.

I had the this set up on my Forester and it worked out pretty nice. My car is gold so there will not be that big of a color contrast against the paint either in day light so why not at this point. Thanks for the advice. They are not that expensive but I did not want to order the wrong thing. I think it cost me like $12 when I got them for the Suby.

Good point, the stock aiming on the fogs is defifinely pretty low. My headlights were also low. What is it with the factory?
