Air Bag Lite Flashing ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I go to sleep the other nite and everything is good!!!! I wake up and head to work. See I need gas. Turn the car off, in this cold *** weather, and fill the tank. I start my sexy animal and Flash Flash Flash, my AIR BAG lite. Any Ideas on what's going on???

Not sure if there is any particular part on the I's that causes this problem, but this did happen on my SAAB years ago.

The problem there is a connector/wire which allows the wheel to turn lock to lock with out tangling the wire. It was pretty easy to replace by removing the airbag unit. Kinda expensive as I remember unfortunately.

Might want to let an A32 reply though in case there is a common problem/fix for this which is specific to the A32 i30.

I know 2nd gen Acura CL's airbag indicator will come on if I lean on the side airbags, it doesn't want anything blocking its path, I don't know if that applies to the A32's side airbags, I am just throwing it out there.

Ok...first check to see if there is anything under your driver and passenger seats. Alot of times, people put stuff under there and it trips the light for the side airbags. If there is nothing under the seats, then reset the airbag light. It is told how to do so in the stickies of the 4th gens. Don't panic as most likely it will most likely go away after you reset the light.

Here is how to reset the light. Good luck.

How to reset SRS(air bag) light:

Open the driver's door. Note the rubber covered button located low on the B pillar, a button which is pressed by the door when the door is closed. This is the Driver's Door Switch (DDS).

Turn the ignition from OFF to ON. Press the DDS at least 5 times within 7 seconds after turning the ignition switch ON. Turn the ignition OFF. Close the driver's door. Start the engine.

If the airbag warning lamp is still on (or still flashing), there is a fault in the Supplemental Restraint System which must be diagnosed and repaired. This is a job for your local friendly Nissan dealer.
