Rearview mirror with compass retrofit question!

Can I put an '01 i30 rearview mirror with compass into my '00 i30 that does not have a rearview with a compass?

I'm pretty sure you can. I believe you just need to replace the whole mirror assemply & run a power wire up to it.

If your 2000 I30 has the auto dimming mirror, which I believe they all do, then the 2001 mirror with Compass will be plug & play. I did it on my '02 Maxima.

I think some of the I30s A33 00' came with a little bit different auto-dim mirror same as my stock one(grey colour), which has different metal plate hodler. But i might be wrong, of course

Question I have is... could I retrofit an '02 w/compass into my '97 Max? And just for the hell of it, does anyone have any pictures of the compass mirror?

No reason why not. Just need to wire it up correctly.

If the button/tab glued on the windshield is different then you'll need to change it, but I think most cars (and mirrors) these days have wedge mounts.
