Any brake differences between I30 and I35?
I've read conflicting reports about whether the brakes were upgraded when the I30 became the I35. Were there any upgrades? My I30 is probably coming up on needing a brake job at about 69,000 miles and if I can get an upgrade using OEM I35 parts that don't cost anything more than I30 parts it would be nice.

You could get 6th gen Maxima front rotors (12.6" rotors!) and calipers - they bolt right on with no modifications. I'm pretty satisfied with mine. Just need to make sure you have the caliper clearance.

There is no Infiniti A34, but the A34 chassis is exactly what the A33 is to every other A34 out there. Meaning, if there was an A34 I35, it would have A34 Maxima brakes.
Check with this seller: http://www.mattblehm.com/ He may know. My guess is no. But, you might be able to fit A34 rotors using your stock calipers.

Assuming they fit my biggest problem with 6th gen rotors and calipers would be talking the dealer into doing it...I asked them already and they said they could do the I35 brakes but there's no Infiniti A34 so it might be an issue.
And not all 17" spoke designs will clear either.

I35 brakes, however, will probably fit behind the 16" wheels. The brakes on the I35 are identical to the brakes on the 2k2-3 Maximas, and the GXE models in those years had 16" wheels. Additionally, I know from firsthand experience that S14 16" SE wheels fit over the brakes with no problems.

Doesn't this screw with the brake bias?

I'm sure it does change the bias somewhat...but definitely not enough for me to notice. I just know I've gone the longest I've ever gone without warped rotors since converting, and it sure feels more confident when I mash the brake pedal (plus several ABS stops and nothing changed eventful occurred under those conditions).

So next time I need new brakes i just gotta tell my mechanic to get the 6 Gen Maxima Rotos and calipers and he'll be able to do it without doing any major modification? SWEEET!
How much does it cost the whole set-up? 4 rotors, 4 calipers, pads?

Other than that, it just bolts right into place.
