Changing over from a MAX to an I30?

Hey guys, I know that the max is basicaly the same as an I30 but I wanted to know how you I30 drivers like the feel of an I30 compared to a maxima. I currently have a 1995 maxima and I am looking to get this I30
Let me know what you guys think if its a good deal or not and how you guys like your I30's. I know this is a stupid thread but Im really stuck here.

Yes, that's a nice one, especially if it comes with the I35 wheels shown.

It appears to the the Limited model, not sure what that means but it like most I30's comes loaded with features, many of which are optional or not available on the Maxima.

Price looks decent, I would look at it and make the guy an offer, lower of course.

^^They made an I30 Limited also, note the wood-grain wheel.

I've gone to look at some SUPER sketchy cars down in RI, so at the least pm me the VIN and I'll run a carfax for you, or pay $30/hr labor rate for easy work for me to ride down there with you and check it out, I can find out if it's a rat, or at the least find some things to negotiate the price. Allthough I do like the trunklid, Inskip Infiniti does good work. Except when you lease a $30k car from them and instead of replacing the shifter trim that was scratched on the lot, they spraypaint it and get overspray on the leather seats, bose radio, and wood-grain...........

BTW doing my usuall craigslist maxima browsing I saw your car

Oh, and I30 > Maxima.

I owned that same Limited model at the same time as my 97 I30t. It does have some nice stuff on it like the embossed leather, wood steering wheel, integrated roadside assistance system and radio controls. Polished door thresholds and a nice set of floor mats plus perforated leather seats. Also has the Homelink door opening system where previous years had non-homelink capable openers.

I ended up keeping the 97 instead because despite the identical numbers on the doors, the 97 was faster 0-60 (butt dyno measured) and handled much better. I suppose that's what made the t vesion of the '97 my preference. If I had kept the '99, I would have added the strut tower brace and a rear stabilizer bar and started adding mods for more power.

For the 99 and later, I also understand that the coil packs were suspect and that the OEM units were by Mitsubishi and not as good as the ones that came later & made by someone else. My 97 is on the original coil packs at 161K miles.

That is a decent price though and reasonable mileage. Drive it, drive it hard, then offer something close that you can afford and still makes you happy. If I never had the '97, I would probably have been VERY happy with it and still have it....

Looks like this limited model has the same A/T shifter as the 00-01' A33. I've never seen that before :O

^^Close, almost, but no cigar......

My dream car, well kinda, = '99 5mt I30 w/cloth & no sunroof!

But still, kinda badass in it's own respect, and rare no doubt.

Funny thread title,. because I just did the opposite, switched form an I30 to a max temporarily anyways.

I say, if you like luxury cars, and the image they sometimes come with go for it. Also, at that price take a look at the 00' I30's, they look a little newer on the road.
