Head Unit Dash Kit Pics

I got the Metra 99-7416 2000+ Maxima dash kit for my 02 I35 and of course the sides are not flush. From what I remember lookig around on these forums it is a custom only job to make a nice fit. Can anyone who made a custom dash kit post a pic? I would like to get ideas on fit and materials. Thanks

Thanks guys. I will check with Sycefiro. I have an all woodgrain dash and that would work well. I guess if I didn't care about the OEM radio I could use the wood pieces from that.

Any chance you could post a pic of what the Metra kit looks like on your car? I have the same car and am interested in replacing the Bose unit as cheaply as possible. Thanks!

FYI, for those with I35s interested, the dark wood models (IMO) still look perfect in I35s. From the pics I've seen I almost think the light colored wood models look a little too bright.

Light wood & dark wood are out of stock.. only 1 or 2 medium color (the original one's color shade can be used for either I30 or I35 is available).

CAn I assume that the medium is NOT Birdseye Maple? Her car is black w/ Birdseye and I don't want to add another color to the mix. Thank you. LMK

Yeah good luck. I'm sure he's busy. I'm trying to figure out how to custom build my own kit off the Nissan Metra Kit platform. I'll post back and let you know what it took to do so.

I apologize for lack of response. My gf & her partners just set up a new business. I am doing all the run around and making sure all the due dilegence are done and can be up and running by the end of this month; while still holding a full time job.

I'll call my partner in Asia tonite to see what is in stock and if any of the back order colors are available. The medium color is the one that MetaOrbit has. If you look on his website. You can check with John to see what he think of the medium color dash kit fits in his I35.

All emails & PM's will be replied tonite. Gotta Jet

The light wood kit doesn't blend well with the wood in my center (02 i35).

Would the medium kit be a better match? I should prolly post pics of my center console, eh? I'll get them tomorrow.
