A32 Cefiro taillight conversion?

has anyone actually done it?

is it as easy as getting a cefiro rear bumper (no license plate mount) and getting the three pieces from a Cefiro and wiring up the license plate lights in the trunk? I'm talking about the Cefiro taillights with the license plate mounted in the center of the trunk

I'm thinking about doing it on my i30 just for $hits and giggles, is there anything I'm missing? If I can get the parts for not toooo much money I'll go ahead and do it

If you go pick up the bumper in NorCal... I may be able to ship you one.. but by ocean.. may take some time..

I have the wing badge for Infiniti as well as Nissan (True JDM)
Malik... Call me.. I called your cell# and it was NOT in service.

Ahhh here's a snag if I remember correctly, cefiro license plate lights are
Mounted on the bumper and shine onto the trunk mounted plate I'll see what I want to do with that

Simon I'll call you in a second! =)

Yea I'm just trying to make sure which ones are depo and not eagle eye or some other brand because of fitment issues. I also need some cefiro related parts that the first website lists as having.

We'll see what happens, not a priority but I definitely get tired of looking at the factory rear

Couldnt agree with you more. I was somewhat thinking about wrapping the center with CF wrap....but Im not the best hand at somewhat intricate jobs like that lol

question since discussing i30/cefiro parts, does a i30 hood fit on a 97 maxi direct? the only thing I can think is the hood latch issue, and i dont know anyone with a i30 for me to go look at.

drop me a pm about it would be great also if anyone has actually tried.

i think from reading the stickies that no body parts from the I30 will fit the maxima, except the headlights as far as i know. which aint much so far lol

Doors, windows, mirrors, sideskirts, sunroof, roof, headlights (to a degree)....

/of OT

Carnal, how about we do this: We go half on it. We each test fit it and whoever likes it keeps it. And whomever doesnt keep it gets paid the other half....only problem with that is if we both like it

ROCK
PAPER
SCISSORS

But seriously consider that. Im down.

If you can get the depo website to respond to questions that would be dope haha.

I'm going to see if I can get a set from Will's buddy in taiwan, I don't want to end up with anything but depot or OEM Nissan

I emailed them, they have an entire conversion listed on their website with grilles, exhaust, bumpers, everything but I got no response when I asked exactly what it included (only a small picture provided)

but really what I need is the harness and assembly for the bumper mounted license plate light and the parking sensors for the rear Cefiro bumper

I've been trying to get them elsewhere but not having much luck

FWIW Only A32 Brougham Cefiros had the plate-less rear bumpers and those were few and far between. Most A32 Cefiros have a similar plate-less center tail garnish.

I might be willing to part with it for the right price, but I know there are very few in the country, so.....
