a33 parts to a32. Few questions.

Oooookay. I started wondering few things about these as I found a wrecked a33 at my local junkyard for cheap. So. I've already made my 2.0l a32 into 3.0l with all the improved accesories from the 3.0l (power seats,a/c,cruise,blaablaablaa....) But. I started to think I might just blow the budjet as it is already gone over.

So. I want to swap the a33 intake manifold, gauges, dash,ECU,wiring harnesses for the engine as I think that might solve many problems with current setup, and lots of other stuff. The main question is,how am I able to swap the ECU and engine harness? Plug and play? I remember reading somewhere that they might have different signals for example Crank sensors and so. True? Is that solved by changing the sensors from a33? But then I got confused as arent these same engines in both? So why would the signals change? Anyway,if anyone can point me towards right direction, please do it.

We probably won't be of much help here, as the usdm came only with 3.0's (And then 3.5's) No VQ20de's.

If you can get ahold of factory nissan service manual from your car and the one that everything was swapped from you can pm me or pmohr and we can help.

Over in the states it goes: a32= 95-99 vq30de with a crappy metal non-variable intake manifold (Your vq30's probably have the "mevi") than A33a= 00-01 with a plastic variable manifold.

On your VQ20 you're using the factory MEVI system?

The 00VI (A33 UIM) isn't an extremely hard install, but you will probably want to set aside a day or so for it. You'll need pretty much everything above the heads from the junkyard DE-K.

The DE-K and 20DE should be all but identical, so far as I know you can run one with a VQ30 ECU (probably run a bit rich, though). That being said, the entire engine control harness should be relatively plug and play (between years even in the same generation, fuse box connectors change, the engine harness to dash harness connectors and pinouts, etc).

Do your A33s not have the NATS system? If so, you'll need to swap over the NATS IMMU, receiver antenna, and associated wiring (which I assume you want to do due to swapping the dash, gauge cluster and all).
