So fellow org'ers give me you opinion UPDATE!!

So i was going to sell my car this summer but decided to keep till next april or so. Anyway now im bored and need to do something to keep me interested. So i thaught maybe i should smoke my rear turn signals and the riverse lights. I baught something called AUG from ebay, I hope its not some crap.

So what do you guys think? do you guys think it will look good?

I didnt want to smoke the red parts of the tailights bcus well everybody does it and i wanted do something a little different.

I think smoking the clear part looks nicer than just smoking the red part, as long as you go overboard. IMO having tail lights that look gloss black are just asking to get pulled over or rear ended. Search for pics of red/smoke tails on a 4th gen - I've always thought they look very clean. That would be a nice style to go for.

Thanx n3985, that 2n photochop was what I wanted to see. But I don't want it to be that dark, just a light smoke to let it stand out from the rest of the i30's.

I'm so looking forward for this project because this is my first project that I'm really doing by myself and if everything goes well I might partially black out my front grille and maybe get a lip spoiler for the trunk.

I would love to find this type of tint for our cars (or find out how to do it).

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/imag...30i_335i_4.jpg

I don't like the film tint most people use, looks like it's faded.

I think it can be done on our tailights. All you have to do is run the spray can along the edges a little more than you do in the middle. Or maybe you can tape up the middle part and smoke the edges then take the tape off and smoke the middle.

Actually on second thaught its a great idea, im going to smoke the red part very very lightly and smoke the top part a little more.

I ended up following your path. I used smoked vinyl tint, soapy water, exacto knife and my sisters blowdryer LOL. End result:

Looks good tamzid. Your's is pretty dark and i actualy made mine a little more darker too. Maybe in a couple of months i might remove the smoke and buy the spray red tint and might try that. I think it would look awsome too. What do you think?

BTW, looks like im a trend setter now. lol

Arrgh!!! You s.ob Tamzid!!! Red look soo much better. I should kick your **** for stealing my idea!

J/k Of course.

P.s. Why not try that stuff they sell at Autozone, that they sell to cover up broken tailights temporarly? It might match properly. Also i so want to do a little photoshoot with your car before i get rid of her.
