Starting issues

I searched back 3 months and combed through the service manuals with no luck.

About a month ago, I tried to start my 03 i35, everything acted like it should but the engine stopped after a second or two. After waiting a few seconds it started fine with no problems until I got an SES light a few weeks ago. The light went away after a few days so my cheap minded self ignored it. Last week i was pulling out of my driveway and it felt almost like my e-brake was engaged, a screeching sound was coming from the passenger rear wheel (still haven't figured this one out yet, that's a later issue) So I drove my truck for a week and finally got around to looking at the brakes today, everything looked fine, wheels spun effortlessly when jacked up. However, when I tried to test drive it I got the same issue mentioned earlier, it cranks and starts for a few seconds, then dies.

What I've discovered so far:

Security light does not stay on when cranking, so not a key issue.

Car continues to crank after first attempt but wont start like the first time.

Pressing the pedal or keeping the key in the "on" position for 10 seconds produces no positive results.

Anyone got any ideas??? Thanks

last time I had problems like this I replaced my MAF....I had some instances where the car stalled in the freeway.

you might want to check your injectors as well, it sounds like your injectors are clogging and either your car is getting too little or too much fuel.

that sound coming from your wheelwell may be the accesory belt.

Turns out the Throttle body was dirty. It pulled a "TB actuator" code but hasn't come back since I cleaned it out. I'll look into the accessory belt suggestion
