MY 1999 I30...build?

Here it is, my 1999 I30. All stock, needs some body work, driver side headlight is blurry any ideas how to clean?, hood dampers, and a new passenger side rear view mirror. Plans i got are Custom Short ram intake, Axle or catback exhaust, paint, rims and springs, maybe the extreme dimensions vip lip kit, and HID's in heads and fogs, which my headlights are being ordered this weekend i hope. Anyone got any suggestions for a muffler? i was looking at this magnaflow street series, http://www.amazon.com/MagnaFlow-1483...0484411&sr=8-5, or an apexi ws2.. any ideas? i dont want somethin huge and ricey, jus somethin that gives it a nice tone with maybe a lil power increase?
Heres pics of it
sorry for crappy cell pic on that one

So yeah, thats it haha

It's called PlastX I believe. It's made by Meguiar's so you should be able to get it anywhere that sells their products, like Advanced Auto Parts. Pretty good stuff, worked for my lights.

Not sure what you mean if it'll work in winter. The reason why your headlight is "foggy" is because the plastic has been corroded. What you're doing with the repair stuff is just sanding off the corroded part and putting a new protective film over it. There are plenty of products that fix it, just to go autozone, pepboys, etc. There are even ones where you use a drill to polish instead of by hand, they all work like a charm.
-Headlights suck in our cars, and that is one thing i say you should upgrade. -No need for an intake unless you want it for sound.
-No need for paint as the paint looks good.
-don't do rims without lowering, but you should be doing struts also. Something you don't wanna go cheap on and just switch the springs. I know that money might be tight and everything, but just don't paint the car and BAM! $4k!!!!!

Lip kit doesn't really add anything imo, not to i30 anyways.
The only simple bolt ons that adds power to our cars is the y-pipe and mevi/00vi. The exhaust just changes the sound. I didn't care for it till mine rusted off. I know you wanna mod it really bad, but i can tell you from experience the car will need more money tuning it up than you might think. Just happens from old age

Good luck with your project.

BTW, is that a axleback or one of those mid muffler things I see on muscle cars?

muffler wise i took off my fart can and put a 2.5in pipe. it is actually a little quieter than the muffler i had on. maybe the apexi would be nice. it would be cool if some one made a nice VIPish lip kit for that car, extreme dinamics is a little sporty for that car IMO. some 18in mesh looking wheels would look nice...

I got some of the cefiro 1-piece headlights.... I don't like the beam pattern. I am trying to fix it though, cause I love how the headlights look.

You don't have to take your bumper off to install the fog light kit. You can get to it from the bottom of the car.
