4th Gen. Maxima Head lamps the same as I30?

Ok, I know I'm probably gonna get flamed to hell for askin this question but I searched for nearly an hour in the forums and unfortunately I don't know anyone with a 4th gen. Maxima that I can compare my I30 head lamps with to get my answer.

But knowing that 4th gen. Maximas and I30s both share a lot of parts, Maxima being the cheaper route, what I can't find info on is if the 1996/1997 Maxima shares the same exact Headlamps as the I30. By this I mean can I simply purchase Maxima head lamps and install them flawlessly onto my 1997 I30?

Only reason why I want to do this is because obviously Infiniti parts are more expensive by name compared to the same exact parts as Maxima... 1 head lamp will cost me $240+ while I can get a pair of Maxima head lamps for less than half the price of just the 1 head lamp.

I don't think its the same. The way I look at it is lets call the I30 a Cefiro. The Cefiro headlights on a 4th gen Maxima leave a gap near the fender. I guess you can make it work but you would have to do something custom about the gap.

Are you looking to buy I30 headlights? If so check the classifieds and for sale threads, or post a WTB thread. (PS: I have a set of 1996 I30 headlights for sale ).

Good luck

I30 headlights are more flat than the Maxima's curved lenses. They'll bolt up on the inside (towards the grille) But thats about it. Have you checked ebay? Or contact adamsanders there. I have a set as well, but I'm in the process of moving and everything's packed up right now.

Bro! How much?! Or give me the link to the thread? Ill search as well in case it's an easy thread to find. But yes, I need those specific headlamps. My uncle recently backed up into my car and smashed my head lamp + a bit of the hood.

I'm also tryin to look at brand new aftermarket head lamps, if they're cheaper or even the same price as a set compared to just 1 OEM head lamp.

Right now I'm currently looking at this headlamps:

They're the Cefiro 1 piece.... but again not sure if it'll fit correctly. Since apparently they're an issue with Maximas?

Bump!

Would like to know if the Cefiro 1 piece headlamps/corner + H4 Harness is worth it. And also if I can just use the 9004s or are these specifically for H4 bulbs and if they're for H4 bulbs only, do I need anything other than the harness +bulbs for the HID setup?

Send me a pm if you would like to talk about buying the stock headlights. I took them off when I replaced them with the cefiro 1 pc headlights. The cefiros fit pretty well but I did have to cut my wiring and replace the 9004 bulb holder with the H4. I would say the cefiros make the car look a lot better. They might help you sell the car, but I doubt a typical buyer would give you the extra $150 for them that you paid.

has anyone actually confirmed that maxima headlights wont fit on an i30? im in the process of replacing mine from an accident, and the infiniti stock ones are expensive and boring, the cefiro ones are expensive and i heard that they have bad light patterns.

will new lights come with the back part where the adjusters are? theres the headlight itself and the back cup they attach to on the car. i need both.(my stock back part broke)

your saying the cefiro/infiniti headlights leave a gap on the gen4 maxima.

he is asking if the maxima lights leave gaps/need modifications on an i30.(my same question too).

if what your saying is true, than maxima lights would be too big for an i30?
