saw something sad at a junkyard this week...
If I had to guess, I'd say the rarest 4th gen max/I30 would have to be a black on black 5 speed manual I30... Too bad the only one I've seen my entire life was rotting in a junkyard for no apparent reason... engine and tranny were gone, interior and exterior were good.... On the plus side I did snag the armrest out of it!
Ok, so I stumbled upon this thread and had to reply. I've been a quiet bystander on the forum for going on five years and this is my first post!
Is the black on black manual i30 really a rarity? Cuz that's what I'm drivin'...
bone stock and I love it!

the 99 its only a t model
so they made them but its only the t model
its a reasonably rare model to see any i30 that was factory manual theres really fewer of them than say um....daihatsu charade?
When was the last time you saw one of those? Theres enough i30 manuals that you might see a couple a year.

i recently saw one just like that at a dealership in new bedford, MA. it had 160,XXX miles on it and the were asking $6,000. i thought they were nuts but the thing sold! i havnt seen it around but i was more than envious. i wish mine was at least 5 speed!
i love junkyards but at the same time feel like the rest of you. it saddens me to look around at all the cars that at one time or another, used to have an owner that cared for it and now, it just sits in a yard rotting away.
