m3 lip painted and mounted!

m3 lip painted and mounted!

so my m3 lip came in yesterday and i immediately cleaned and painted it. just finished mounting. what do you guys think? please ignore the crappy paint on the bumper. i bought the car like that i swear! also i need a wash haha

I've seen this type of of mod before in person - it's a really nice fit for our generation of Maxima/Infiniti - the one I saw had the LED (third Brake lights) and they worked.

i looked for that everywhere and i couldnt find one. i think they discontinued it, but i'm just as happy without. still gives it just that little extra detail.

Looks good, I got mine on 2 weeks ago. I kept it the black rubber since ive got a black max. I polished it, looks good!

these the 30 dollar jobs on ebay? seen a few of them posted. post links to site where ppl using them are getting them from though.

yeah, good cheep mod from ebay for 28 bucks with free shipping. tottally worth it IMO

i got factory color match spray paint from http://automotivetouchup.com/ and it matched absolutely perfectly.

Btw, did you wet sand your lip before you painted it, or just clean it with rubbin alcohol and then apply paint?

i just cleaned it thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and than painted and cleared it. it worked out good. i thought of sanding but figured i didnt want to risk somehow messing up the smoothness of the lip. its made of a flexible rubber/plastic material and i was worried it would add a texture too it.

Thats what im thinking. Mine looks good when i put polish on it, but id rather have it painted.

yeah even being made of a black rubber i still feel like it needs at least a gloss coat or something as to look OEM with your bumper.
