HELP!! My I30 is getting sunburnt . . . . .
Hi folks,
I was walking out to my silver 2000 Infiniti I30 this afternoon and noticed to blotches on the rooftop. I quickly ran towards it to further inspect and it looks to me like sun damage. I've read on the others forums about certain remedies to rid this problem such as compounds and so forth. But, I was hoping to hear from the I30 community of any such stories and hopefully successful ones. Thanks for reading folks! I look forward to reading your responses.

if its sun damage, you can't really fix it..the clear has faded or opened its pores wide enough to do damage. Compound is to correct clear coat imperfections...you can't use something abrasive to fix whats gone.
Wash it, claybar it, and use some good non abrasive synthetic wax (like an insulator wax). Seems like the car was kinda neglected, so a wax with longetivity is probably more beneficial to you than going for shine (carnauba).
Check out collinite 845, easy to apply, long lasting protection.

hood, roof, trunk lids always fade first they take the most beating from the weather. Paint probably should have been washed, waxed, clayed more often and could last longer, esp if its garaged. A re-spray might be in order.
