The GR2s are excellent for the price, I went cheap. It took a week or so to get used to the changed ride and to let the springs settle, but I am very happy. My whole suspension upgrade cost $500, since I did the install myself. KYB also sells the AGXs, which are adjustable, like the tokico illuminas, and will help you to fine tune your ride to suit your preference. I would definitely upgrade from stock since I'm sure you have quite a few miles on them, even though I went with the GR2s, which are stock replacements. Here is a link to help you decide what would go well with your Eibachs in case you want to upgrade:

"Eibachs often considered rougher riding, stiffer spring"
I went with H&Rs b/c they offer best ride and best handling, according to the link above.

Hope this helps!

180k in fact. Yes, the ride is quite harsh since we have lots of rough road around here, and even though they have drastically reduced the amount of body roll I cant bear the ride. Having worn to hell tires makes it worse. So I am looking for something that will ameliorate the aching back I always have after driving.

Yeah I was looking at the AGX until I came across the Koni Yellows. Im getting opinions about them from some forum members but for now it looks good. However I'm not in the mood to shell out a good bit that I saved for other stuff, so GR2s look good too.

I wish I had came across that site before I bought my springs, as those Progress springs REALLY made it low.

Wow, I hope to get to 180k with my i35. I've got 125k on it, hope I can do another 60k without majors problems.

So you've gone 180K miles on stock shocks?! That could be contributing significantly to your harsh ride.

And yes, this site is great. It does take some time to sift through everything, but it's worth it in the long run.

Yep, and still running fine -knock on the wood-. I asked my father if he ever replaced them, since it was his car before, and he said no. So yes, it is a factor. Tires too.

Oh wow. On some threads made by vendors some people have been posting that they buy two pairs of a kit since one kit was lasting them a year.
