First I tried relay and that didn't help.
They didn't melt but there is low voltage going to the ballast and high voltage coming from the ballast, so it is important to have HID wires from ballast to the bulbs.

Like I said, I will do a write up. Hopefully it will take me less than a week. I'll start to write it this Monday probably.

The other good part in these fogs is that they are black so they won't stick out, but you are right, its too much to put 4 fogs in the front

Alright well I had some 3K HID Fogs laying around and I decided to put them in but they dont work. I believe its because the base of the HIDs whereas the one for the H3 fogs i already have in are of electricity conducting material. Here:



And does anyone know how to re-wire the turning lights so they are off when I turn on the headlights but on when I give the indicator? Like this:





I hate being ripped off

and ambers.

I don't know, first im trying to get my corner lights to work together and then im just trying to think in my head how the amber lights will work on the corners and how they will look. I don't know if someone else has done something like that before. Do you know?

Dirty i30,
Base material of hid bulb has nothing to do with your problem. Just connect positive and negative wires.

Second that you wrote, you shouldnt need to rewire anything. Corner light should work like that from stock setup.

I actually want to get both corner lights to blink at the same time. As you know the corner lights near the fog lights just stay on when i turn on the turn signal.

You saying you want corner lights to work with blinkers? If yes, take power from blinker using wire and connect it to the positive wire of corner light. Cut off remaining positive wire from corner light.

with 2 relays you can do this. do the same for each side.

test and cut the positive side front corner light harness wire, leave enough wire coming from the + side bulb socket's harness so you can tag wires to it again. the side that comes from the car, tape up. thats not gonna be used again.

tag, or splice into, test and find the positive wire from each rear blinker socket and run that new wire back up to the front blinker harnesses . then, wire your relays. pole 87- fused constant 12v. pole 85- chassis ground. pole 86- the positive wire you tagged and ran wire from the taillights. pole 30- to the positive side of the front blinker harness.

that should allow you to have both front corner lights off until the blinker is initiated. the relay will prevent an over load on the wires and prevent fuses and/or the wire to get hot and melt.

i dont think the car will see the front blinkers non operational, causing that "you got a blinker out, turbo fast blinker effect"...but someone correct me if im wrong. perhaps a resistor will fix that, if it happens.

OR if there is 3 wires from the socket, there should be 1 for ground, 1 positive for the blinker and 1 positive polarity for the parking lights to turn on. find which wire gets 12v when the lights are turned on, and just cut it. tape it up and call it a day.

Ok got you all on the relay setup. But as for the fog HIDs I don't think I am doing anything wrong, the HIDs musn't work. The PIAA bulbs light up as soon as the metal base touches the fog light housing. I switched wires and polarity for the HIDs and nothings working.

by the way the 12000k turned out looking pretty good and not dim at all



The only problem is that they are probably illegal

do you have 2 female spade connectors for your + and - from the car when you disconnect the bulb? do you have a multi meter? test the + and - for correct polarity then plug the amp connectors that you plug into the ballast (it should have 2 male connectors that plug into the ones you just tested) then connect the bulbs in the other harness from the ballast

I thought so too but actually its very blue. Purple i guess is 15000k and up.

And that blue did not look dimmer than my 6000k at all. Only problem is that its probably illegal...

Is it better to get the H3 kit or the H3c kit. Because for my fogs just like DIRTYI30's fogs they have a cover in the front, if that's what they are called.

Would buying the HID kit from Philips be a waste of money? After reading a bunch of blogs that said they had to replace HID headlights and fogs sometimes 3 times a year.
