mayur914: is that the stock grill just painted black? looks great and I've been thinking about painting mine black as well. Also those head lights look amazing and they really clean up the front of the car. which ones are those?

JNcoRacer: what wheels are those?

Yep that's the stock grill painted black. I have some chips from painting them improperly. Im gonna use some plasti dip and paint them over again and use a glossifier. The headlights with the retrofit are the E46 projectors with added 3" ZKW-R clear lens and 5000k morimoto HID's.

Infi30T-I temporarily took out that front left fog light because it had a hole in it and was full of nasty rusty water. I replaced it with a new fog and put in some yellow fog light bulbs.

thanks DIRTY I30. That's actually a really good picture of it. It could use some minor body work and a paint job. hopefully I can make that happen this summer/fall. Summer plans are all new suspension, new a-arms with ball joints, new tie rod ends.

I'd like to get some rims, but don't want to spend a ton. Also I am planning on putting new struts on this summer and can't decide if i should get some new springs too. maybe go with the eibach pro kit or something. any recommendations on spring/strut set ups?

That's because the I30s aren't as mainstream as maximas, thus fewer I30s and even less of those that are modified

Except meee

I think it's also because Infiniti is more luxury-marketed, rather than Nissan. To make matters worse, my friends called my car the "menopause-mobile" when I got my I30 because it looked as if a middle-aged woman would drive it. But who still drives the nicest car outta all of them?

I think if I really wanted to modify a car I would have went with the Max instead of my I30. I bought my I30 because I wanted something nice, classy, good looks and different. I could have gotten an IS300 as well but there are tons of those locally, while there was only 1 I35 here when I bought mine, now it's 2 apart from my I30. Sucky part is...ALL THE SAME COLOR!

Mine is a work in progress and I don't have any nice picture of the car with the new mods, but you can check out the progress in my build thread!

Well my friends have the following:
1989 Ford Mustang convertible (4-cylinder to make this car worse)
1994 Ford Ranger
2005 Honda Element

My one other friend's car is nice, a brand new Scion tC. But when he's paying ~$1100 a month between payments and insurance, I'm happy with my I30. Especially since I'm picking up a free set of I35 wheels tomorrow (might have to get 2 of them replaced/repaired due to bending[one is worse than the other]), and got a new head unit (Pioneer AVIC-Z140BH) for my birthday on Tuesday. Then to just get some slight rust on the rear wheel wells taken care of, and to have my spoiler painted and installed, I'll be set

I meant in general, and I don't mean lowered with OEM replacement wheels. I'd figured people with I30/I35's would have some type of VIP inspired mods or some kinda "nice" mods...

For the record, I seriously like 95naSTAs I30 a lot. That and 95maxrider's are the finest I have seen, besides mine. I love performance > looks but but both of those cars have of those qualities

Hey Sorry for not answering earlier.

Don't troll this section much. Thanks to a bunch of advice from Essential1 the 5spd conversion was fairly straight forward. A little bit of improvisation skills needed for the E-Brake bracket. No hole needs to be cut in the firewall so that's a plus.

Took me like 2 full days of work, 3 weeks of real time tho, since i had to wait for a backordered part from courtesynissan.

Yep, bone stock 2003 I35, 80k, bought it in 2010 at 64k.
1997 I30t 5 spd, its a little beat up, but has 08 maxima wheels, CAI, and CustomMaxima exhaust coming soon.

I commented on the thread. I admire the work you put into it, I never thought anyone would swap in a manual.

When I first bought him, during a trip to NYC. 2002 Sport bought with 88K miles, currently has 108K.

Racks, tint and painted the wheels. Megan exhaust going on in the next couple of days then Tein Springs.
