the drivers side power seat will move up/down and tilt.....however it will not move front/back. it is stuck close to the wheel so its very tough to drive. I did manage to remove the seat but need to know how to move it manually to make it drive-able until i find the permanent fix. please help. thanks.

Try to look for the motor and give it a tap with a wrench.

 

If you can't get the motor to run, I don't know how you can get the seat to move. Maybe you can remove the motor and turn the screw shaft by hand, but getting another motor (if that is what is bad) is the only real answer.

 

You have to remove two screws under car seat to move the rail freely
