Congrats! How many miles? The I35 is basically the sister of the Maxima so it'll be cheaper to get parts from the Nissan dealer versus the Infiniti one.

Did you have the car looked over by a mechanic before you bought it? Some things to look out for:

-Oil consumption is common on our early VQ35s
-Lower radiator mount rusts out
-Clunks in the front usually due to worn engine mounts
-Rear calipers can seize up
-Blown struts (all 4 of mine went out not long after I bought my car)
-Howling/rumbling due to wheel bearings

These are great cars overall. Enjoy!

Hey, welcome to the forum. Im also a new member and coincidentally bough a 03 I35 not even a full 2 weeks ago lol. Car looks sharp. How many miles? Interior color? Mine is silver with 72k miles. Bought it for $5k with a 2 year engine and transmission warranty through the used dealer. I just have some surface rust by the driver side door sills but other than that, pretty solid car. Will post pics if interested =)

Post em. I love my car. It's super dope. Post your pics. I want to see some other i35s. I saw one at work today. It was a weird green color that I can't describe, but it actually looked super clean and sick hahaha

I'm kinda bummed on how many miles mine has on it. It has 125k. But I just had to have it!

Why doesn't anyone haven't tinted windows?? I think the i30/35 looks best with tinted windows then most cars really cleans it up. Really nice black i35 that's what I would have got if there's wasn't white!

Both of mine had tinted windows. Car looks dull without tints IMO

Thanks for making the thread! I just bought a 2002 I35 (Millennium Jade). The car is completely stock, with only 43K miles. I got it for a steel, only $2.2K off a family member (got the family discount).

I am also new to forums, haha. Just joined to learn more about my new car.

I believe the weird green color you are referring too is "Millennium Jade," the same color as my new I35.

Thats like the steal of the century....or decade lol depending on how much work it needs to be actually a good solid car though

The car needs virtually no work. It belonged to my grandmother, so there are some cosmetic dings (I got the "granny discount"). Other than that, I just need to stick new rear rotors on and it will be solid. Im slowly getting to other minor problems aswell.

Infiniti love

Hi, I recently got an Infiniti i35 (2004) for my first car. I was wondering what should I do to it to make it cool.( not that it already isn't) I already added stickers ( because stickers give you speed).

Don't bother with the factory navigation. It's going to be a nightmare to find and install a screen, as well as the different head unit and controls, along with the computer for the system. I think there's a writeup somewhere on here, but that system is going to look very dated. Better off going aftermarket with something from Pioneer and using a kit to install it. That way you get much better map quality and interface along with some other modern conveniences like Bluetooth and USB.

about a week ago my family acquired a 2003 i35 with 89k and silver paint just like the newguyy had. so far I've had the front engine mount replaced and the right lightbulb witch i knew were already problems when i got it. but i love how elegant and convenient it is and its a joy just to sit in the parking lot let alone drive powerful too.
