Different location for limit switch?

The anti-pinch feature/limit switch has been driving me nuts for far too long now, and I've found various how-to's for Maximas, but I can't find the limit switch on my I35. I even cut through the plastic to look behind it.

I've searched and read various threads like this one but I can't find that nipple-lookin' switch. I can normally find them in the dark with my teeth, but that's a story for another day. Anyone have any insight or input to this?

Or am I going to actually have to remove the door panel as illustrated here?

Thanks in advance

nope i did not remove it at all, didnt even damage the plastic. Just get a bright flashlight and a moderately long screwdriver and press it.

I can tell you for certain that the limit switch on the I35's is in the same exact place as the limit switch on the 5.5 gen Maxima's. I previously owned a 2002 Maxima & now own a 2004 I35. On both cars I had to reset the limit switch on the passenger window. I remember I had a difficult time finding it when I first tried to reset on the Maxima. When I did it on the I35 last summer I remembered where it was from my past experience with the Maxima. It's a black button that is easy to miss, you really have to look for it.

Is it really that hard to take off a door panel? It's like a 5 minute job, at that??

Checked a second writeup, and it had me approach it another way. 2 minute job with the door panel in place

I am having the exact same problem with my passenger side window in my 2002 Infiniti I35. I have never gone into an I35's door panel before, so is there any more detail / advice you could give? I would greatly appreciate. Also, what do you mean by "resetting" the limit switch?

Thanks!

Search the 5th gen forums and you'll find a few threads that explain it, it's a common problem with these cars.
